These range from a simple cardboard boxes to a fully customisable metal grid system to provide unique and easily findable locations.

The Vertimag storage lift provides for this in a number of ways.

The Vertimag accommodates items in an organised and economical manner, regardless of an items individual height. The flexible system scans the goods height and allocates an optimal storage location; this is also ideal if the stock is likely to change over a period of time.

Trays are presented at the ‘picking bay’, and always at the same ergonomic height.

A number of bays are available:

• Internal bay: single or double – For manageable parts and compact footprint
• External Bay: single or double – Ideal for overhead crane assistance for heavy items
• Extractable telescopic bay – For occasional use on certain items needing access
• Ergotech bay (see details) – For increased parts presentation and speed

The EjLog Warehouse Management System designed by Ferretto can be seamlessly integrated with the customer’s ERP.

Thanks to its intuitive graphic layout and user-friendly interface, EjLog is the ideal software for managing all types of automatic storage solutions, traditional racking systems as well as the storage areas at ground level.

EjLog enables real-time warehouse management through a regular computer interface on PC or radio frequency terminals, in the case of traditional storage systems and storage areas at ground level, and at the same time allows remote monitoring and intervention.

Its “open” architecture facilitates dialogue with the company’s ERP, ensuring increased productivity and space optimization through correct data management.

Ergo-Tech is the exclusive picking bay designed Ferretto, with a second lift placed under the bay inside the structure, offers the workflows of double bay machines while ensuring perfect ergonomics.

How it works

With Ergo-Tech, the items are automatically delivered at a single configurable height from the ground by means of a lifting device located inside the bay structure. While the operator is conducting a picking or placing operation in one tray, the system gets the second tray and puts it in stand-by ready to be delivered to the bay.

Once the picking or placing operation has been completed on the first tray, this is returned to its storage position and the tray in stand-by is immediately lifted to the bay enabling the operator to carry out a new picking or placing operation at the same height, ergonomically and without delays.

EFFICIENCY

Ergo-Tech ensures the flows of a double bay and, consequently, optimizes performance and increases the speed of picking and placing operations.

FLEXIBILITY

Thanks to its operating principle, Ergo-Tech offers less limitations related to the height of the items as is the case for traditional double level bays. More specifically, by lifting the second tray, the Ergo-Tech system allows materials of different formats and sizes to be stored.

ERGONOMICS

The structure of the system creates an absolutely ergonomic work environment for the operator. There is no risk of potential injuries: in fact, unnecessary lifting or bending during materials handling is simply eliminated.

SAFETY

The picking bay is equipped with vertical anti-intrusion safety barriers and the automatic shutter, a standard feature, closes the opening during operations: thus, the material is protected, the noise in the work area is significantly reduced, and the safety of the operator guaranteed.
